Crocus Big Bear

Crocus is a residential renovation project located in Big Bear, California. The primary goal was to reimagine the interior layout to create more functional and livable spaces. Originally, two bedrooms were awkwardly joined with no sense of privacy. To address this, the secondary bedroom was relocated to the former kitchen area, taking advantage of natural light, ventilation, and proper egress. The kitchen was repositioned to the center of the home, using existing solid walls to define the space while maintaining an open-concept feel. For added efficiency, a new bathroom was strategically placed behind the kitchen’s plumbing wall.
